Have you ever found time to analyze the wing spans of birds. Most of us just assume this fact and generalize all birds but the truth of the matter is that the wingspans of different birds vary according to:

• The size of the bird
• The highest the bird can reach
• The adaptation of a bird.

Large birds generally have large wingspans for instance the ostrich, small birds o the other hand have smaller wing spans.

Herbivorous birds such as the hawk which have to carry their prey also have longer wing spans compared to the others.
