it belongs to the less prosperous or poor society . it was a political club which was formed to discuss government political plans and other policies if the policies are against with them or their society than they perform action against it like in French revolution

1.The jacobins were one of the political clubs of France whose leader was Maximilian Robispierre.
2.Jacobins got their name from the former convent of St.Jacob in Paris.The Jacobins were mainly less prosperous sections of the society.Eg. Small shopkeepers,artisans,watchmakers etc.
3.A large Group among them decided to start wearing long stripped trousers.This was to set them apart from the fashionable aristocrats who wore knee breeches.
4.It was a way to express the end of power wielded by bearers of knee breeches.
5.They also wore a red Phrygian cap that symbolised liberty.
