1.Esterfication = when organic acids react with alcohol, an ester is formed such process is called Esterfication. eg :-
HCOOH + HO-CH₃ → H-COOCH₃ + H₂O.
2. saponification = The process of making soap by the hydrolysis of fats and oil with an alkali is called saponification.
3. Addition reaction = The reaction in which an unsaturated hydrocarbons combines with another substances to give a single product is called an addition reaction.Eg :-
CH₂ = CH₂+ H-H → H₃C- CH₃.
4. Substitution reaction = An organic reaction in which atoms or group are attached with displacement of any others atom or group is called substitution reaction.Eg:-
