1. location.... Amazon basin is located in the South American country of Brazil. It is drained by the largest and fastest flowing as well as the second longest river Amazon and its tributaries. They are located in the torrid or tropical zone and that's why lie between 30°S to 10°S.

They cover a major part of Brazil, Peru, Uruguay, Paraguay,parts of Venezuela, Suriname and French Guiana.

2. climate..... Aa the basin lies in the tropical zone, the basin enjoys a tropical atmosphere and that's why are in place of heavy downpour and sunlight. Thus the climate formed is a tropical climate.

3. Natural Vegetation and wildlife..... The amazon rainforest are so vast that they are known as the lungs of the world. they cover up to one thirds of the global rainforest area and support the existence of large number of ecosystems including endemic, endangered and many undiscovered organisms. The Anaconda, Toucan,etc are several species of the region. Several species of plants like cinchona whose bark is used to treat malaria also grows in this region. Various foods is yam, cassava, etc are grown in the region.

4. people..... the people living in the amazon rainforest belong to various groups of tribes and people of various clans. the live in a type of house called casava and practice slash and burn culture also called Roca in the region. Their lives are associated with the forest and its products. But nowadays the intervention of man into nature's process has led to the construction of trans American routes through the rainforest that has made the ecosystems break down as well as has affected lives of million people.
