The animal kingdom is a vast group of numerous different species of all shapes and sizes.

• They are differentiated based on their many differences into classes such as mammals, birds, insects, amphibians and fish.
• Different groups of animals are found in different regions of the world based on their environment, food habits. From the polar regions to the hot deserts there is a diversity of different kinds of animals living in their respective habitats.
• Each animal has its own life cycle from birth to being a part of a food chain to its death. Every animal serves its purpose in its position in the food chain and is either the predator or the prey.
• However, due to human interference and decrease in number of forests and natural habitats, the ecosystem is disrupted and animals suffer. Many organisations are trying to save animal species and give them a home.
