Appellate jurisdiction. Appellate jurisdiction is the power of a higher court to review decisions and change outcomes of decisions of lowercourts. Most appellate jurisdiction is legislatively created, and may consist of appeals by leave of the appellate court or by right.

High courts can hear appeals against the decisions of subordinate courts.Appeals against all the decisions of subordinate courts in civil, revenue and criminal cases can be brought to High courts.
