Bacteria are found in the air,soil,in the deepest seas,in hot springs and in the ice of the polar regions.some bacteria live in the intestine of animals and some live in the mouths of animals including human beings. bacteria need food,moisture and warmth to grow.There are many types of bacteria like cocci,bacilli,spirillum etc. Some bacteria obtain energy from chemical reactions of inorganic substances.such bacteria are said to be chemosynthetic bacteria. They are capable of living in complete darkness. Some bacteria aerobic while some are anaerobic.
