Bohr model or Bohr model or Bohrdiagram, introduced by Niels Bohr and Ernest Rutherford in 1913, depicts the atom as a small, positively charged nucleus surrounded by electrons that travel in circular orbits around the nucleus—similar to structure of the Solar System .
there are few drawbacks:
bohr’s atomic model does not explain multi electron system elementsit does not explain the effect of magnetic and electric field on atomic spectra. it does not explain stark and zeeman effect.it does not follow Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle. according to bohr’s atomic model, momentum and position are very defined. but both do not simultaneously determined.bohr’s atomic model was two dimensional but its three dimensionalorbit was circular in bohr’s atomic model but modern research shows that its three dimensional

According to the Bhor's model the extra portion of an atom ,the electrons revolve in well defined circular orbit.
These circular orbit are also known as energy level or energy shells.
These have been designated as K,L,M,N,O......(or as 1,2,3,4,5.....)based on the energy present.
Draw back are
1.
The bhor's model doesn't explain the multi electrons system elements
2.it does not explain the effect of electric and magnetic field on the atomic spectra.

In 1913, the Danish physicist Niels Bohr (1885 - 1962) managed to explain the spectrum of atomic hydrogen by an extension of Rutherford's description of the atom. In that model, the negatively charged electrons revolve about the positively charged atomic nucleus because of the attractive electrostatic force according to Coulomb's law.
But the electron can be taken not only as a particle but also as a de Broglie wave (wave of matter) which interferes with itself.
