Some living organisms posses some characters in them which are the distinctive features of different groups or phyla. Such individuals connect these two groups by sharing the characters of both and hence they are known as connecting links.
Ex-Peripatus, duck billed platypus, lung fish....

His concept are known as Lamarckism.2.Every living organisms tries to evolve. During its lifetime, it acquires certain characters through adaptation and modifications. These characters are passed to the next generation. 3. Depending upon the activities or laziness of that organisms these changes occur.
