Conservation of Sarus cranes in Gujarat wetland:

Sarus crane is a crane variety of India belonging to the Gujarat wetlands has become one of the species in ICUN red list. To conserve these species the local NGOs along with TATA trusts drafted the Saras crane conservation act in the year 2013.

The Saras crane has entered the list due to increasing the agricultural practices in its habitats and climatic changes that happen in the environment.
