Cyanobacteria:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
• These are prokaryotic bacteria belongs to kingdom - Eubacteria.
• They are also known as blue green algae (BGA) because they are photosynthetic and aquatic.
• Cyanobacteria are important for nitrogen cycle as well as for the health and growth of many plants.
• These prokaryotes do not have nuclear membrane.
• They have ability to exist without vitamins.
•They use phosphorus, iron and other micronutrients, and ammonia or nitrate as a nitrogen supply.
• Some types of Cyanobacteria are filamentous and they don't need sunlight.
Hope it helps you
