Gandhi after reaching dandi broke the salt laws by manufacturing salt. It led to the begining of the Civil Disobedience Movement.Gandhiji started his famous dandi March accompanied by 78 of his trusted volunteers. The March was over 240 miles. The volunteers walked 24 days 10 miles a day on 6 April they reached dandi and violated salt law by manufacturing salt by boiling sea
