Erasmus was a latin scholar and Catholic reformer. He opposed the tenets of Catholicism and have different ideas from Martin Luther . Unlike martin Luther he was not in the favour of printed books because he thought that if there was no control on printing then , there will be a spread of irrelevant and irreligious ideas
