Frankfurt Parliament was convened in March 1848.It was brought about by a large number of political associations , middle        class professionals , businessmen and prosperous artisans . It was convened at the church of St. Paul .Headed by monarchy and subjected to parliament .Women were only mute spectators to stand in the visitor's gallery .The dominant middle classes resisted the demands of the workers and artisans , hence lost their support .The opposition of the aristocracy and military became stronger , the social  basis of parliament eroded .

2. They all marched in a festive procession to the Frankfurt Parliament
