Most of us remember Gandhiji as Father of Nation. He’s been equated to a saint as well sometimes hence his name Mahatma Gandhi.

However, he was just like any other normal human being the only thing that differentiated him from others is the conviction to follow his own path. He was a political thinker though he never wished to propagate an “ISM”(Gandhism) but his ways were radically different from all other contemporaries.

He gave the concept of Ahimsa(non-violence), Satyagraha( standing for truth), gram swaraj(village republic). He always stressed on purity of soul and self sufficiency. He wrote many journals like Young India, Harijan. He was a crusader for abolishing untouchability.

He played a crucial role in Indian independence movement.
