The gravitational force is a force that attracts any two objects with mass. We call the gravitational force attractive because it always tries to pull masses together, it never pushes them apart. In fact, every object, including you, is pulling on every other object in the entire universe!

Gravitational force is the force of attraction between any 2 bodies in the universe. It is independent of presence of 3rd body in between the 2 given bodies. It is a central force i.e. it acts along the line joining the centers of 2 bodies. It is independent of the medium between the 2 bodies.
