This year Mumbai is celebrating eco-friendly Diwali as the rate of pollution in their area is increasing day by day. Previously idols were made of baked sand and coated with plaster of Paris which after immersion mixes with the water causes death of the marine animals. But this time painting of idols has been banned and they are using non-toxic dyes instead. Crackers which create a lot of noise and affected people very badly has also been banned by the government .
