Irwin Pact or Gandhi-Irwin Pact was a pact or mutually agreed resolution between Lord Irwin and Mahatma Gandhi signed on March 5 1931. Mahatma Gandhi signed this pact to release the political prisoners (caught after the end of Dandi March) from the prison and instead Gandhi promised to attend the 2nd round table conference in London.
