Explanation:

Although life 's adversities can alter our way of thinking and reacting, they cannot change who we are, but we can choose how it will affect us. I choose to not allow these difficulties to paralyze me, but to push forward and to become a stronger me. Nietzsche was quoted, “Examine the lives of the best and most fruitful people and peoples and ask yourselves whether a tree that is supposed to grow to a proud height can dispense with bad weather and storms; whether misfortune and external resistance, some kinds of hatred, jealousy, stubbornness, mistrust, hardness, avarice, and violence do not belong among the favoruable conditions without which any great growth even of virtue is scarcely possible.” (De Botton, 2000, p. 215). This tree has withstood the bad weather, storms, and, misfortune, but, I have become stronger because of them. It is important to me to demonstrate my faith and strength through these difficult times, hoping to be an inspiration to all who know me. On the other hand, I am working toward attaining my bachelor 's degree for self satisfaction, job security, and to help myself to focus on positive things.

Having faith in God and the afterlife is the largest factor which gives me strength. Knowing that one day I will be reunited with my husband and two brothers gives me the courage and endurance to remain optimistic and positive. “What meaning has life that death does not destroy?- Union with the eternal God; heaven.” (Tolstoy, 2005, p. 57). This thought gives me hope and allows me to keep attempting to be the best person that I can be, and to inspire others to do the same. Christian values have been instilled in me through my parents since I was a young child, and I believe that my values have been passed down ...

...whom have been there for me, just as I 've been there for them. These relationships inspire me and give me the strength to push forward and continue to persue my goals. I have become a stronger woman over the years, and have never lost faith.

In conclusion, my mission in life is to practice habitually my Christian values and to maintain my faith no matter the adversities that I am confronted with. This faith helps me to remain optimistic, looking forward to another life proceeding this life, where I will be reunited with my loved ones who have passed away. Living according to these values help to give rise to the attributes needed to attain and maintain long lasting and deep relationships with friends and family, as well as simply touching the lives of acquaintances and strangers. It is my hope that my strength, faith, and values are to be an inspiration to others.
