Mahalwari System:-
- Introduced in western Uttar Pradesh, parts of Madhya Pradesh and Punjab.
- Groups of villages were called mahals, hence the name Mahalwari.
- Revenue was collected by the headman of each mahal.
- The revenue was not fixed.
