In order to prevent corrosion the body is painted with metal of higher reactivity series to react with oxygen and this prevents oxygen

Metallic coating are done in purpose to give shine and beautiful look to something.Metallic coating provide lustre to the thing which r coated with it. It also provide hardness to the substance
