RADICALS:

  1. gov.based on majority of the country's population
  2. supported women suffrage movement
  3. opposed privileges of great land and wealthy factory owner
  4. not against existence of private prop. but disliked concentration of few other prop.

MODERATES:

  1. The Early Nationalists, also known as the Moderates, were a group of political leaders in India active between 1885 and 1905.
  2. Their emergence marked the beginning of the organised national movement in India.
  3. With members of the group drawn from educated middle-class professionals including lawyers, teachers and government officials, many of them were educated in England.

The moderates demanded the expansion of councils and giving them more power on the opinion that these reforms would train India in self-governance, and eventually they would become capable of governing the country.The radical nationalists on the other hand, rejected the entire idea that the Indians needed benevolent guidance or assistance of foreigners.These leaders wanted swaraj or complete autonomy,as they regarded it their birthright.
