                मनुष्य सांसरिक जीवो में इसीलिए श्रेष्ठ माना जाता है क्योंकि उसमें परोपकार की भावना होती है अन्यथा भोजन, विश्राम तथा मैथुन-क्रिया तो मनुष्य और पशु समान रूप से करते हैं। पशु पराहित की भावना से शून्य होते हैं। पशुओं के सभी कार्य केवल अपने लिए होते हैं और मनुष्य और पशु में यही भिन्नता है।
