neutralization reaction is the reaction between an acid and a base of equal strength. The salt formed is always neutral in this reaction. salt is always in aqueous form. acid reacts with base to form salt and water. in the reaction no gas is released. the reaction is exothermic which means that in this reaction the testube becomes warm.
