Mode of Occurrence of Minerals. Minerals are generally found in "ores", which is actually an accumulation of any mineral mixed with other elements. To obtain a pure mineral, the it has to be separated from its ore. Minerals generally occur in the cracks, crevices, faults and joints of the igneous and metamorphic rocks.

Minerals are great source of energy due to which their extraction from their ores is taking place all over the world. minerals such crude oil is widely extracted to prepare other fueals such as petrol, Desi, carosine,etc.

these minerals are formed from the dead remains of plans and animals which died thousand of years ago and got buried in soil than the temperature and pressure of earth transformed them into minerals as a result they are present deep inside earth.
