♦ Photorespiration..

⏩It is wastefull process for plants cauj in higher temperature and higher concentration of O2 Rubisco behaves as a oxygenase enzyme so that Rubisco starts fixing o2 rather than Co2 after complete process energy is utilized but no gain of glucose.

In this process Co2 is give out and O2 is taken in.

☛It can be called as the respiration of plants in the presence of light.

☛In photorespiration, plant releases very less amount of Oxygen and large amount of carbon dioxide is released by photosynthetic parts of plant.

☛The organelles involved in this are:- chloroplast, peroxisome and mitochondrion.

☛In this, two molecules of phosphoglycolate which is formed by oxygenation of RuBP coverts into one molecule of phosphoglycerate and one of Carbon dioxide.
