Plasma is the clear, straw-colored liquid portion of blood that remains after red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets and other cellular components are removed. It is the single largest component of human blood, comprising about 55 percent, and contains water, salts, enzymes, antibodies and other proteins.

plasma is a straw coloured, viscous fluid constituting nearly 55% of the blood 90 to 92 % of plasma is water and protein contribute 6 to 8 % of it.




Fibrogen , globulins and albumins are the major protein. Fibrogen are needed are needed for clothing or coagulation of blood.


Globulin primarily are involved in defence mechanism of the body and the albumin help in osmotic balance.
