The Raikas belong to Rajasthan. The Raika community has lived in the Sadri village for centuries. They are camel herders. In 2014, the camel was declared the state animal of Rajasthan. Camels can survive the heat and require little water. Their milk and hair is useful, so they are important for the pastoralists.

They worship Pabuji. Their spiritual leader is Bhopaji who communes with the gods. Members of the community consult Bhopaji for advice on matters related to personal or community based issues. He takes decisions regarding land issues and represents the community at public gatherings.
