- The algae reproduce vegetative sexually and asexually. In the vegetative mode of reproduction they reproduce by fragmentation . In this process each fragments develop into thallus .
- There is reproduction with the help of spores which is called zoospores . This is asexual reproduction .
- In sexual reproduction there the fusion is between two gametes .
- Flagella plays a very important role in sexual reproduction .
- Sometimes there is fusion between large non motile female gammat and small motile mail gammat this is term as Oogamous .
