Root pressure is simply pressure in the roots of the plants. The pressure is also defined as osmotic pressure.

Root pressure

1. Roots of plants are in contact with water and minerals in the soil as a result water and minerals get inside it.

2. Due to the water the root cells becomes turgid and apply pressure on the adjutant cell these pressure is called as root pressure.

3. These pressure take water to the xylem from where it get transported to all parts of plants.
