Sickle-cell disease (SCD) is a group of blood disorders typically inherited from a person's parents. The most common type is known as sickle-cell anaemia (SCA). It results in an abnormality in the oxygen-carrying protein haemoglobin (haemoglobin S) found in red blood cells.

HEY MATE HERE IS YOUR ANSWER,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Sickle cell anaemia is an inherited form of anaemia a condition in which there aren't enough healthy red blood cells to carry adequate oxygen throughout the body.
Normally your red blood cells are flexible and round but during anaemia the red blood cells become rigid and sticky and are shaped like sickles or crescent moon. These irregular cells shaped cells stuck in small blood vessels hich can slow or block blood flow and oxygen to parts of the body.

HOPE IT HELPS YOU OUT.
