Shah Jahan built the Taj Mahal in memory of his wife, Mumtaz Mahal. The Taj Mahal is the most incredible and splendid example of architectural beauty and peace built by Shah Jahan. All the architectural forms developed by the Mughals are reflected in the Taj Mahal. The significant feature of this white marble monument is its massive dome, four slender minarets, delicate marble screen, pietra-dura inlet works and kiosks. The monument is placed in the middle of the garden.
