Hii Friend here is ur answer
Thermal Expansion – CTE – is defined as the fractional increase in strain per unit rise in temperature. It can be defined at a precise temperature or over a temperature range. PMIC uses a variety of techniques to measure the thermal expansion of materials, components and structures.
Thermal expansion is the tendency of matter to change in shape, area, and ... In general, substances expand or contract when their temperature changes, with ..... (10−6 K−1),
Hopes it helps u ❤❤❤❤

=========Thermal Expansion =======
It has been experimentally observed that when a substance is heated it expands and when it cooled it contracts when a solid is heated it expands in all directions hence the length area and volume all increase on heating a solid the increase in length of a solid is called linear expansion and increase in area is called superficial expansion and increase in volume is called cubical expansion
