large dams are used for various reasons like to increase the navigation, generating electricity, for fishery, etc. they helps in increasing the income of one's country.
but on the other hand it's a big boon to our society as it is made after shifting the villages and there is no hope for rehabitation. they destroy the local flora and fauna. many people lost their livelihood.and it also causes soil erosion.
