There were many short uprisings during 1904-1914 around and the steps taken by the Tsar were not agreed to and people, hence, dissented. The anger of the citizens was due to Russia helping out in the war. Soldiers were placed on priority. Farmers didn't have much produce due to some famines. Taking advantage of the condition, the Soviets grasped the throne and in turn, abdicated the Tsar.
