It is the progressive process of transformation of inorganic compounds to organic compounds.
Chemogeny is considered to be the first step of Biochemical Origin of life(Oparin's and Halden's Theory), the next two being Biogeny (the transformation of organic compounds to protocell) and Cognogeny (Diversification of protozoa into metazoa, metaphyta and various other characters).
Chemogeny has the following sub-units:
- Formation of water, methane, Ammonia and Cynamide.
- Formation of hydrocarbons.
- Formation of sugar, amino acids and fatty acids.
- Formation of oxy & hydroxyl derivatives of hydrocarbons.
- Formation of purines, pyrimidines and nucleotides.

Explanation:
- Chemogeny is the process of transformation of inorganic substances into organic substances. It happens through chemical reactions that occur in the ocean during the pre early historical life of the development of the planet Earth. Chemogeny was the first step in the evolution of life in the Blue Home Planet Earth that occurred less than billions of years ago.
- There was various step involved in the chemogeny, which includes the formation of complex organic molecules like protein, Fats, and carbs, also Including as the formation of simple organic molecules from inorganic molecules. And the formation of simple inorganic molecules like Ch for ammonia water which were essential for primitive atmosphere of Earth.
