Short notes on Decline of Bronze Age societies.
Answers
The Causes for the decline of Bronze Age societies are not accurately known. Historians consider a combination of natural calamities may have drawn down some Bronze Age societies. Moreover, archaeological evidence infers a series of severe droughts in the eastern Mediterranean region causing the collapse of society. An important role is also played by famine, Earthquakes, sociopolitical unrest, and attacks by nomadic clans. Many historians also believe that the shift was immediate, potent and culturally disruptive. For instance, major Bronze Age civilization including Greece, Ancient Egypt and the Hittite Empire in Turkey collapsed within a short period of time. During the time, cities were abandoned, trade routes suffered, and literacy decreased throughout the region.
