kshatriya is one of the four Varna of Hindu society .It is Sanskrit term . It is used in the context of Vedic society where in members were organized into four classes :kshatriya,brahmin,vaishya and sudra .

As per the caste system, after Brahmin, kshatriya is regarded as the second the highest caste. traditionally, kshatriya constituted the ruling and military class .Their role was to protect their interest by fighting in war time and governing in peace time.
