short notes on mensheviks?

daniel8: The Mensheviks formed the minority of the Socialist Democrat Party when they split in 1903. Lenin had called for a small tightly knit elite who would lead the revolution on behalf of the people. The majority of Socialist Democrats went with Lenin and were called the Bolsheviks . The Mensheviks wanted to make their movement less elitist than the Bolsheviks in the belief that it would attract the support of the uneducated workers and peasants.

Mensheviks

Mensheviks were a part of the ‘Russian Social-Democratic’ Worker’s Party. Their aim was to bring revolution to Russia by following the ideas of socialist theoretician Karl Marx.

Mensheviki were the factions of the non-Leninist wing of the ‘Russian Social-Democratic Workers’ Party’. They broke off to form a separate party which was led by Martov. The Mensheviks were against the principle of Lenin and they argued against Lenin’s dictatorial party concepts.

The ‘Menshevik and Bolsheviks’ were the two factions in the Russian Social-Democratic Workers’ Party. The Mensheviks argued against Lenin’s centralized principles and they were in pursuit of ‘democratic goals’.
