Dattaram Maruti Mirasdar (Devanagari: दत्ताराम मारुती मिरासदार) (born on 14 April 1927) is a Marathi writer and narrator principally of humorous stories. He hails from Pandharpur (Maharashtra).

Many of Mirasdar's humorous stories revolve around village life in Maharashtra. However, some of his stories concern the serious social issues and lives of the poor living in villages. His stories Gavat, Ranmanus, Kone Eke Kali, Bhavaki, Hubehub, and Sparsha belong to the latter class.

Upari (lit. Breath) is a 2016 Indian comedy-drama film directed by Vamsi Paidipally. A remake of Olivier Nakache & Éric Toledano's French comedy-drama The Intouchables (2011), the film was produced by Prasad V. Potluri and Kavin Anne of PVP Cinema in Telugu and Tamil, the latter as Thozha (lit. Companion). It features Akkineni Nagarjuna, Karthi, and Tamannaah in the lead roles; Prakash Raj, Ali, Vivek, and Jayasudha play supporting roles.

Mirasdar:

The Mirasdars were the owners of land according to the Mirasi rights.  

The Mirasdars could rent those land to anyone according to the tenure of Mirasi and could take money or service for the reimbursement of the same. There were two types of Mirasdars, ones who had landed by heredity and others who had to claim. The Thalazdas maintained the list of hereditary Mirasdars and claimed were maintained under the Miras patra.

Upari:

Uparis were the cultivators who cultivated the crop on the acquired lands based on the practice of share-cropping. They were the cultivators of the land and were charged with high revenues which were though fixed but were high and they were free from revenue to pay if the cultivation of crop done failed to be grown.
