Sustainable development means economic development that is conducted without depletion of natural resources but at its core is an approach to development that looks to balance different, and often competing, needs against an awareness of the environmental, social and economic limitations we face as a society.
Threats are as follows :-
1. Population
Though you might be reluctant to call the birth of children one of the human behaviors that threaten environmental sustainability
2. Depletion of Natural Resources
It's a fair assumption to say that man does not intentionally set out to destroy the natural environment. Sometimes the destructive behavior develops without conscious awareness until the impact is felt
