Cytoplasm is defined as the mass of protoplasm lying outside the nucleus in which the Cell organelles are embedded. The aqueous phase of cytoplasm excluding cell organelles is called Cytosol. It is a colourless, homogenous,translucent,amorphous and Colloidal fluid. It is composed of various molecules such as water,salts of Na,K and other metals and organic compounds such as carbohydrates,lipids,proteins,nucleoproteins,nucleic acids and enzymes.
