Introduction of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam was popularly known as Kalam Chacha for students and children. He was also called as the Missile Man of India and People’s President. His full name was Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen “A. P. J.” Abdul Kalam.  The Early Age of A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Dr. Abdul Kalam was born on 15 October 1931 in Rameswaram, Ramanathapuram District, Tamil Nadu, India. His father Jainulabudeen was a boat owner and imam of a local mosque; his mother Ashiamma was a housewife.Even though his ancestors had been wealthy traders, the family had lost most of its fortunes by the 1920s and was poverty-stricken by the time Kalam was born. As a young boy, he used to sell newspapers in order to support his family’s small income.In his school years, Kalam had average grades but was described as a bright and hardworking student who had a strong desire to learn. Mathematics was his favorite subject and he used to study for hours.

Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Legacy Dr. Kalam left a legacy behind him. He is very famous in the youth of India, he is a role model, a guide to the youth of India. He started education with nothing and he reached the pinnacle of success, his story is very inspirational. Though he achieved such great success he was always down to earth, simple and direct person.
