A person who sells various things moving from street to street is called a street hawker. A street hawker is a familiar figure in towns. He usually lives in a hut or in a slum. He is the vendor of a variety of things. He carries his things sometimes on the head, sometimes in his hands and at some other times in a small hand-cart. He sells toys, bangles, ribbons, clothings, sweets, fruits, utensils, newspapers, fancy goods and things of domestic use by bringing them up to people's doors. He is a clever fellow who knows how to run his business. He brings one kind of goods for children, another kind for womenfolk and yet another kind for men.

Answer:  hawkers are found in every city. A street hawker is a mobile shop-keeper. He carries his wares on his head, bicycle or a hand cart. He sells vegetables, fruits, ice cream, toys, candies and other items of daily use. He goes from one street to another to sell his items. Some street hawker’s ring bells some make strange sounds and some sing songs to attract the attention of the customers. Housewives buy vegetables, fruits etc.from these peoples. Children buy sweets, ice-creams, toys etc. People like street hawkers because they supply things at their door steps. People bargain with them. Some hawkers are not clean. They do not cover their items from dust and flies! We should not buy eatables from such hawkers.
