The manufacture of plastic, as well as its destruction by incineration, pollutes air, land and water and exposes workers and the living organisms to toxic chemicals, including carcinogens which affects the health as well as the environment of the living organisms. Synthetic plastic does not biodegrade. It just sits and accumulates in landfills or pollutes the environment. This is very much harmful for the environment.
