constitution is the fundamental law of the state, containing the principles upon which government is founded, regulating the divisions of powers and the manner in which it is to be exercised. But no definition of constitution can be regarded as exhaustive.

Our constitution is one of the biggest constitution that has ever existed in our world.
constitution is a legal form or set up rules and regulations which tells us about a country and how it is to be ruled.


Our Constitution has a front page called preamble which shortly summarise our constitution.


Here is the preamble :-

We the people of India having solemnly resolved, to constitute India into a sovereign, socialist, secular, democratic, republic and to secure to all its citizens.

Justice: social, economic and political

Liberty: Of thought, expression, belief, faith and worship.

Equality: Of status and of opportunity and to promote among them all.

Fraternity: assuring the dignity of individual and unity and integrity of this Nation.
