Answer:

Everyone loves his hometown or city dearly. It is like loving the home or the place where one passes one’s life. My town is close to a canal that flows out of the river some eight kilometers away. Gardens and parks surround it on all sides. Beautiful flowers and tasty fruits of all the seasons are to be found welcoming you as you approach the town. Grassy grounds border the town where children, men, and women are found playing in the afternoon.

“I love my hometown as I love my home and I like to stay in the town streets as I stay in the rooms of my house.”

Answer:

My name is Neha Mehta. I live in a city called Mumbai. Mumbai is the capital city of Maharashtra & also the financial capital of India. Mumbai was formerly called Bombay.

This is because the Shiv Sena party re-named and spree everything in Mumbai having anything (even names) to do with England. Because of this reason they also renamed the Victoria Terminus into “Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus”.

The airport was renamed as “Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport” disregards whether international or domestic flights operate over it. Not only this they even renamed the roads in the city. The name Mumbai is derived from Goddess Mumba Devi. Some well known sports of Mumbai city are the Prince of Wades Museum (the Chhatrapati Shivaji Vastu Sanghralaya), Gateway of India, Juhu Beach, Marine Drive, Marve and Chowpatty.

Mumbai is a tourist spot for people located in various parts of the world. Mumbai is also blessed with great amusement parks such as Fantasy land, Tikujiniwaadi, Essel World and Water Kingdom. The city is mainly the home to Bollywood. Almost all the famous starts of India reside in Mumbai in the suburbs.

Mumbai is that part of India which works 24X7 and never sleeps. Marathi is the local language but still Hindi and English are also spoken fluently. That is why people travelling from various parts of the world not faces any kind of language constrains in Mumbai like other cities in India.

The temperature in the city varies throughout the year. March to June are the summer months having maximum temperature of around 40 degree. June to October are the monsoon months with rain in its full force. November to February are the months of winter. Winters are mild in Mumbai because it is situated in the coastal region but the weather remains pleasant.

Mumbai is known for its colonial architecture. The High Court and the Mumbai University buildings are excellent examples of such architecture. The main mode of public transport in Mumbai is its local trains. These trains are also called the life line of the city.

An extensive network of these trains runs throughout the city- Harbor line, Central line and the Western line. The city also has big multiplexes and malls to meet the needs of its residents. The city is also known for its mouth watering street foods such as kebabs, bhel puri, Crab, Channa puri, pav bhaji, vada paav, Chicken tikka rolls, pani puri, kheema pav & various kinds of juices and milk shakes.

I love my city very much. Mumbai is also considered as the best place to live for its residents.
