SHORT ANSWERS

1.Rubber band becomes weak on stretching and May break. It has force of attraction between molecules intermediate. Whereas on other hand chalk piece on hammering with rid easily gets powdered . Which proves it has least force of attraction.

2.The forces of attraction are the strongest in solids, followed by liquids and the weakest in gases. Oxygen is a gas, water is a liquid and sugar is a crystalline solid. So the increasing order of forces of attraction is Oxygen < Water < Sugar.

3.The Boiling point of water is 100°c. A particular temperature at which solid starts changing into liquid is called melting point. Melting point of water is at room temperature around 25°c. Evaporation refers to changing of liquid in to vapour or gas below its boiling point.
