Shirt Sightness cannot be corrected by the use of convex lens because :-

Someone with short sightedness can see near object clearly but cannot focus properly on distance object.
This is caused by eye ball being elongated so that the distance between the lens and retina is to great.
It can be corrected by placing a concave lens in the front of Eyes.

Answer:since

We know that short sightedness is the defect of vision in which person cannot see the distant objects clearly, but can see nearby objects without any difficulty. In this case ,the parallel Ray's coming from distant objects are focused in front of the retina. Then again if we use convex lens , it converger more .As a result , person can't see.

Due to this reason , short sightedness can't be corrected by use of a convex lens.
