short sightedness cannot be corrrected by the use of a convex lens why?

Answer:

Someone with short sightedness can see near object clearly but cannot focus properly on distance object.This is caused by eye ball being elongated so that the distance between the lens and retina is to great.It can be corrected by placing a concave lens in the front of Eyes.
